NYC Media: Meet the Startups
When hot startups like Foursquare pop up out of New York City, I often read in the media about how NYC is undergoing a "resurgence"... but the truth is that the NYC tech community has been thriving for quite a few years now. On top of that, there are a many startups that aren't waiting for New York City government incubator or teaching programs to get their ideas launched and their businesses going. Yet, the amount of coverage all these great companies get from local media is pretty limited.
Therefore, nextNY is putting on an event to introduce NYC journalists who cover innovation, small businesses, startups, venture capital, etc. to the founders and CEOs of tons of great local startups, both large and small. We'll also feature a short presentation on "An Insider's Tour of the NYC Tech Community".
